Terms and Conditions
Gatton Waters is an adult only site for Caravans (twin axles permitted), Motorhomes/Campers (twin axles permitted), Trailer Tents and Roof Mounted Tents (we do not permit free standing tents) and is committed to creating and maintaining a peaceful environment for the enjoyment of all our guests.
We require that all vehicles are in good order prior to admittance to the site. We will not permit access to any current or former works vehicles/pick up trucks with active or previous signage. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any vehicle that fails to meet the required standard, as defined by us.
We ask that you read our Terms & Conditions before you book. We reserve the right to terminate the stay of those who do not adhere to these Ts&Cs or behave in a way that may undermine the enjoyment of fellow guests.
Adult Only
All guests and their visitors must be 18+ years of age. There is no admission on site for anyone under the age of 18.
Bookings and General
All prices shown are for up to two adults (18+), one unit (Caravan/Motorhome/Camper/Trailer Tent/Roof Mounted Tent) an awning, a maximum of three dogs and are inclusive of shower and toilet facilities and site wide WiFi.
Guests can bring an additional car free of charge, but it must be parked on the storage field.
Up to an additional 2 guests per unit are permitted per night, chargeable at £6 per person per night. For the avoidance of doubt, the maximum number of total overnight guests per unit is 4 (2 included within the standard price + 2 at the additional per person rate).
Up to 2 additional adult visitors are permitted to day visit, free of charge. Requests for visitors must be communicated to the Office in advance of their arrival, and all visitors must register at reception before admission. It is strictly prohibited for visitors to be admitted to the site without communication.
All visitors and guests must leave their vehicles parked on the storage field.
All bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Should you wish to make changes to bookings, please contact us at least 7 days in advance of your arrival. We will always endeavour to accommodate changes if we can.
We don’t accommodate stag or hen parties. We typically will not allow group bookings (greater than 2 parties) but we will consider requests. Please call us should you wish to discuss.
We do not accept telephone bookings and will require a deposit to be registered via a formal online booking.
You will require a cable of at least 15 metres for the electric hooks up. If you do not bring a cable, we have a limited supply that we can share for the duration of your stay, but these are subject to availability.
Please leave the pitches as you find them. There are multiple rubbish points/recycling areas around the site so we ask that you keep the site clean and respect the environment of your fellow guests.
We advise that you bring a good quality torch for your stay as the grounds are large and lighting is limited given the rural nature of the site.
If you have a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to management’s attention during your stay can not be addressed subsequent to your departure.
Arrivals and Departures
All guests and their visitors must register at reception on arrival.
Arrivals: 1pm-6pm: Please note the following with respect to late arrivals:
- The office closes at 6pm. Should you arrive between 6-8pm there is a late admission fee of £12 to cover the cost of extending our office and check in hours.
- There will be no admission after 8pm, as very late checking in is disruptive to guests already on site.
Should you not arrive on the day of your booking and not inform us, we reserve the right to reassign your pitch the following day. Deposits under these circumstances will be foregone.
Departures: by 11am. We offer late check out (3pm) for £12. Please let us know 24 hours in advance should you wish to check out late.
Reception is open from 8am to 6pm. There will be an emergency out of hours number should you need assistance. This will be communicated on arrival.
Pitches
We cannot guarantee you a specific pitch or placement on the site, but if you have a preference (e.g. direct lakeside) we will try to satisfy that. Should you wish to extend your stay beyond the booked dates we will endeavour to keep you in the same spot if capacity allows.
Payment for your stay
Any balance for the cost of your stay will be paid on arrival. Additional extras incurred on site can be paid for as they arise, or at the end of your stay.
Prices do not include the provision of electricity, which is metered by usage and charged at cost plus applicable VAT via smartcard. Smartcards are loaded upfront, and usage paid for at the end of the stay. Smartcards can be replenished throughout your stay, but only during reception opening hours. It is your responsibility to return cards and to settle outstanding amounts on departure.
A £10 fee (for each) is levied should electricity smartcards or barrier fobs be lost or damaged, to cover the cost of replacement.
There are no refunds should you choose to leave before your booked date, unless the reasons are within our control and responsibility. The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
Cancellations
The deposit on booking is non-refundable. There is no additional fee for cancellation of a stay, though we ask that you inform us at least 7 days in advance. Any costs incurred through the booking of a stay through an affiliate website (e.g.Pitchup) are subject to their terms and conditions.
Dogs
Dogs are very welcome on site (to a maximum of three per party) but must be on leads and supervised at all times. We ask that you clean up after your dog and dog bins are provided throughout the site to facilitate this. Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped and we do not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Guide dogs are welcome.
Health and Safety
Your safety whilst on site is of paramount importance to us, and we ask that you adhere to the following:
– Swimming in the lake is strictly prohibited.
– The driving speed limit on site is 5mph. Please drive with care and consideration for others at all times.
– BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended at all times. No hot ashes to be placed in bins.
– We will provide information on fire points and any emergency protocol on arrival.
Fishing
Fishing is available at £7.50 per day for guests. Seasonal passes are available for Seasonals on request.
All fish are strictly catch and return, and you will need to be in possession of an Environment Agency license to fish.
Any additional fishing rules/requirements will be communicated on the day and are also detailed on this website.
General
Guests book on the undertaking that Andrew Donaldson Ltd bears no liability for damage to property throughout their stay and that use of the site and its facilities is at their own risk.
